He threw every weapon at his disposal to soften the blow and shift the story. He blamed the loss on election fraud. He showed his supporters he’d go down fighting to the bitter end. And, when push came to shove on the final day of certification, he held a rally and triggered chaos in the capital…

Trump spread the lie that he won. Trump never wavered in repeating this lie and never shied from vilifying all who corrected him. Today, he allowed his lawyer to call for a “trial by combat” and told his misled faithful to march on the Capitol to “stop the steal.” Trump instigated the riots, which turned into destruction and death and a deliberate attack on the People’s House. And then, on Twitter, he made it clear that he enjoyed it all.

These un-American anarchists have performed an enormous disservice to President Trump, the America First movement, the more than 74 million voters who cast our ballots for him in November, and our beloved United States of America… President Trump did the right thing Wednesday afternoon. He issued a video statement from the White House via Twitter and told his overzealous backers to beat it.

Democrats widely agree a new Covid-19 relief and response package should be their first priority. A new bill would likely be modeled on the House-passed HEROES Act, which included $75 million for testing and contact tracing, “strike teams” to tackle challenges around long-term care and prisons, and funding to help cash-strapped state and local governments.

Most immediately, it will give Mr. Biden more freedom in staffing his administration. Mr. McConnell had let it be known that so long as he was in charge, any nominees deemed too liberal or otherwise too offensive to his members might well be denied a confirmation vote. He is no longer in charge.

Biden’s campaign presented a 2050 timeline for achieving a net-zero economy, and the White House’s newfound power will likely give it the ability to enshrine that timeline in legislation (only a handful of countries such as the UK, France, and Sweden have done so).

Jewish groups condemned the violence… They added: “Nothing, not even the emotional charges of voter fraud in a presidential election, can ever legitimize or excuse such behavior. For as the Talmud warns, ‘Pray for the welfare of the government, for without it… man would swallow his fellow man.’ Today is a dark day for all Americans.”

…never have I prayed as deeply for the government of the United States as I did today, upon witnessing a violent mob attack our nation’s capital. Professional journalists and smartphone-wielding citizens have made clear that we are in dire need of heaven’s help.

I am praying for the safety of our elected officials and their staff. Even the ones I despise. Even the ones I tried to get out of office. Even the ones who would never see me as truly American, or as truly equal to them.Even the ones who have been complicit in and encouraged these seditious riots.

Facebook and Twitter are now outright removing Trump posts. Nothing like a wildly exaggerated “crisis” to justify censorship that will eventually be used on everyone else.

Who else thinks @Twitter should ban Trump permanently, before he starts a civil war?

We should remember this is not the first time Trump’s tweets have encouraged people to storm a capital. On April 30th militias entered the Michigan legislature to protest COVID lockdowns 13 days after he’d tweeted to “liberate” Michigan.

I completely and fully understand that religion is something that is clearly important to Matt…more and more, we’ve been seeing leads with such strong Christian beliefs that I cannot even imagine having a Jewish contestant make it to the final four. And casting a Christian lead whose faith is important to them means casting Christian contestants, from which they’ll likely select the next lead, ensuring a cycle of very Christian Bachelor/ettes.
